Our Children
All children learn best from experiences that are suitable for their stage of development. Well planned Play, both indoors and outdoors, is key to the way young children learn. We will build on children’s existing skills and interests, and on their play activities, in order to help them learn.
As the parent / carer, we recognise, you are your child’s first and most important educator. The support and encouragement you provide is important throughout your child’s school life, and especially during these early years. You can work with us by:
- Getting to know us before your child starts to attend
- Stay with your child until he/she feels comfortable without you
- Take an interest in what goes on so that you can talk about it with your child at home
- Join in the activities at Pre-School if you can. A parent’s rota is available on the notice board in the corridor
